Fines and Fees
We're fine-free
The Lincoln Public Library does not charge overdue fines for items returned in good condition. Please return your items by their due dates so that everyone can enjoy the library.
Library fees
Library fees are set by the City Council as part of the City's Master Fee Schedule. Accounts with $10.00 or more in fees cannot check physical items out from the Library.

Lost items |
We consider an item lost when it is not returned within two weeks (14 days) of its due date. When an item is two weeks overdue, we bill you for the replacement and processing fees. Return the item in good condition and we'll waive the replacement and processing fees. |
Damaged items |
You are responsible for returning library materials in the same condition that they were checked out to you. Damage to library items includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Replacements |
We waive the replacement fee for lost or damaged items if you provide a replacement item. Processing fees still apply. This item must be in new condition and the same as the damaged or lost item. Not sure if the item you've found is a suitable replacement? Please contact the library before you buy. |
Refunds |
Did you find a lost item that you already paid for? We'll refund the replacement fee if you:
