Welcome to Lincoln, California! The City of Lincoln was incorporated in 1890 and is among the State and Country's fastest growing cities. Lincoln’s current population of 45,800 is forecast to grow to 80,000 over the next two decades, with an ultimate build-out of 120,000 people by 2050. This growth will be managed through Lincoln’s long-range General Plan and commitment to a healthy economic diversity. As the City of Lincoln continues its daily operations to provide our residents effective services, the City Council is working to create a vision for the next 10 years to focus our efforts and ensure our ability to achieve our mission through a strategic action plan. The City of Lincoln has a long history of strategic planning, and this plan builds on past successes. Our goal this year is to incorporate more input from staff and citizens to shape the priorities of our plan, and to focus on areas of unity and common interests among the City Council, staff members, and citizens.
Located just 20 miles northeast of downtown Sacramento via Interstate Highway I-80 and then only eight miles north via California Highway 65, Lincoln offers:
- A welcoming community
Occupancy-ready commercial and industrial space,
Extensive new-construction opportunities,
In-place sewer and water infrastructure,
- An award winning winery
- Diversified housing, and
- A stable workforce.
Whether you are a lifelong resident, new to our community, or simply visiting, we sincerely thank you for making the City of Lincoln a part of your life!
